Flooded Apartment

Guten Abendschön! I'm sorry that I didn't write one last week so this one might be a bit on the long side. I'll tell you a funny story before you get bored. This morning we were studying and I hear this sound of water draining. I didn't think much of it but when I got up our whole hallway was flooded. There was a tube that unconnected from our washer so all the water as going on the floor. So we whipped out some towels and tried to soak it up. Good thing I've had lots of practicing with flooding basements so it was a synch.  Germany was crazy last week. We got a giant storm over all of Germany. So we had tons of high winds and heavy rain. We would wake up to the wind howling, it was wild. We were advised to stay in doors because it got pretty wild outside. One member had a tree fall over close to her house.  This week I have been studying in Sister Barden's, dad's book that he wrote for missionaries. He talks about weaknesses and how our inadequacies are the...

Transfer News

Servus!! I apologize but I don't have a ton of time this week so this letter is going to be a bit shorter. We got transfer calls Saturday morning and I'm staying over Nürnberg and Feucht. I'm way excited. I love my area and I love the people that I've been able to meet. The members are so nice and I'm glad that I have 6 more weeks with them. Sister Barden is heading to Essen and she will be an STL up there. She's going to kill it and I'm way excited for her.  Saying goodbye to Sister Barden was hard and I really enjoyed my time with her. We became great friends and I will cherish our memories. I've learned a lot from her and look up to her in so many ways. I'm so glad that we're both young on the mission because that means we'll be able to see each other before we go home.  My new companion is Sister Wallgren and this is her last transfer before she goes home. So in missionary terms I will be killing her. It's been fun to be with her. S...

Guten Morgen, meine lieber Freunde und Familie!! Man what a powerful week that I've had! It's the very end of the transfer and that means that I'm out of training. The time has gone by so quickly. I've made so many memories already and have loved all people I've been able to meet in such a short time.  This week was full of the spirit and wunders (miracles)! To start off I have an absolute amazing district! At district counsel we focused on the attributes of our favorite Book of Mormon missionaries. Mine is Ammon and as I was studying his story, there were many things that stood out to me that I didn't realize before. One example in verse 29 in Alma 17 is: Now they wept because of the fear of being slain. Now when Ammon saw this his heart was swollen within him with  JOY ; for, said he, I will show forth my power unto these my fellow-servants, or the power which is in me, in restoring these flocks unto the king, that I may win the hearts of these my fellow-ser...
