Transfer News
Servus!!
I apologize but I don't have a ton of time this week so this letter is going to be a bit shorter. We got transfer calls Saturday morning and I'm staying over Nürnberg and Feucht. I'm way excited. I love my area and I love the people that I've been able to meet. The members are so nice and I'm glad that I have 6 more weeks with them. Sister Barden is heading to Essen and she will be an STL up there. She's going to kill it and I'm way excited for her.
Saying goodbye to Sister Barden was hard and I really enjoyed my time with her. We became great friends and I will cherish our memories. I've learned a lot from her and look up to her in so many ways. I'm so glad that we're both young on the mission because that means we'll be able to see each other before we go home.
My new companion is Sister Wallgren and this is her last transfer before she goes home. So in missionary terms I will be killing her. It's been fun to be with her. She wants to finish her mission strong so we will be grinding this next 6 weeks. Which means a lot of lessons and a ton of street contacting. But I'm excited and I'm looking forward to seeing how much I'll grow and how well my German will improve. It's been weird having to lead and be in Charge of contacting people and setting up lessons but we're making it work. The funny thing is that Sister Wallgren was trained in Nürnberg and now she's ending here as well. So she gets to start and end in the same place. We're going to focus on this week on reaching out and hopefully teaching the same people that she taught a year ago.
One crazy thing that's already happened with her being back is that yesterday we went street contacting. We stopped this man and he looks at Sister Wallgren and says "you stopped me a year ago and gave me a card." So that was fun to make that connection again and remind him of of message we shared the first time. I love how our messages and contacts are memorable to people. The lord is reminding them of this chance we've given them to come closer to him.
That's pretty much been my week. We're trying to set up lessons and keep these next 6 weeks busy. But the lord is good and I'm so grateful that I can be a part of his great work! Love you all and have a great week!!
