Stressful week!

Image
Howdy All! This week has felt sooo long haha. It's probably because I feel like we haven't done much missionary work. Of course we have, but it's been difficult to focus on the spirit when I've been stressed about college applications. And man has this week been stressful. So stressed to the point where I had morning sickness this week. I don't think I've ever been so stressed in my life. We had zone conference with many other zones this past week and one of the elders who I served with during my first transfer, mentioned that he's working on BYU applications as well. He mentioned that the priority deadline was the 1st. I had a feeling when I first started working on the applications that I should get them done before November. Now I realize where that thought came from. Although it's been stressful trying to finish all the essays and make them stand out, it's also been a very spiritual experience. I've been really trying to focus on including th...

Guten morgen alle! There's not a whole lot to report from this week. We have zoko and MLC in the next couple of days which is why my pday is today! I'm sorry if this email is boring, I promise the one next week will probably be more exciting.  Sunday was our most exciting day. We had the primary program which is always my favorite. If you think the little kids are cute back home, just wait till you hear them speak German. They were absolutely adorable. It made me really excited to be a mother one day.  Sadly, none of our friends were able to come to church. But surprisingly enough, there was an older woman named Petra who was standing outside of the church after the meeting and the members invited her inside. They gave her a church tour and answered Some questions that she had. She just moved here from Berlin and has been looking for a church. She didn't want to exchange numbers but will be coming back next week! We're excited about her. Later that night, we were walk...

4 transfers left?!

Transfer weekkk!!  I'm staying in friedrichsdorf and got a new companion. Her name is Sister Cooley, she loves German, from rexburg, and sings Opera professionally. She was my stl in Köln so I'm excited to work with her. Her German is also amazing so I'm going to be speaking nonstop German with her. She's probably the closest I'll get to having a native companion so I'm going to soak it all up! I'm going to miss Sister Hodgman. We saw a lot of miracles together and it was so fun to grind with her. I learned a ton from her this last transfer and hopefully have grown a bit. In our last week together we made 7 friends and taught 18 lessons. So you already know that she's a Frau! This past transfer has been my favorite so far! I've never felt so successful and so accomplished at the end of each day. When we give all that we have to the lord and work our hardest day in and day out, no matter the outcome, we feel so much happier. I've noticed that this...

Crazy week!!

So much has happened this week with zone conference, interviews, and general conference!  Zone conference was so good! We did a hike with the whole zone. We hiked up to a tower which is said to have been the influence of the Grimm Brother's rapunzel. It was such a fun hike and I loved being out in nature. Our president gave a Thema about orbits and how each of us have our own orbits. There are certain people that fall into our orbits and need the light that our orbits give off. It was an amazing Thema and had made me more aware of the people I meet everyday. It was just another testament to me that im meeting the people on purpose and its not a coincidence that we meet. We had a great testimony as well as we shared our spiritual defining memories. It was fun to think back on all the times that God has helped me or I saw his hand in my life. Let me tell you, there's been a ton of spiritual experiences and they've strengthened my testimony so much.  After we had SAP tausch. S...
