Crazy transfer already???

 Hello everyone!!

Well as most of you know, from my email last week, but the transfer just started and yet so many changes have happened. We got a new DL and the elders took over Feucht. My sister mentioned that I didn't clarify this in my last letter, but I'm still in Nürnberg. I was over Nürnberg and Feucht but not anymore. We were told on Friday that our DL was being ETed to Trier and 2 our Ukrainian missionaries in our zone were being sent to Poland to help with the refugees. Then we found out Elder McNiven was also being ETed up north to fill in with the other Ukrainian missionaries leaving. So now we have a completely different district then what we started with. It's been sad to see the elders leave, but I know that God has a plan.
This week is my first week as a trainer and honestly it hasn't gone half bad. I was lucky that before Sister Wallgren left, she set up lessons throughout the week. We had 3 lessons with new potential friends and they went really well. They were all interested and had lots of questions. We gave them Books of Mormon and one said that he would come to church with us this Sunday! I'm relieved that I'm already seeing success with me being the leader of everything. I was nervous of becoming a trainer because I didn't know if I would be able to set up lots of lessons and be an effective teacher. We've also done street contacting and have met some really nice people. I can tell the Lord truly qualifies who he calls. German has begun to click for me and I'm amazed with how much I understand and can say. I know my German is not anywhere close to being perfect but I can't tell it's improving. Elder Baggett, who is still in my district, mentioned that he can tell my German has improved. He told me when he first got here from Ukraine that he could understand me, but now he has no idea what I'm saying. I'm guessing that's a good thing haha and that my vocab has been broadened.
This past week has been very warm in Germany, but we are now back to having lots of rain and are expecting snow to come. During one of these sunny days we went on a walk with a lady in the ward. We approached a hollow tree, but it still grew. There were branches growing out of the tree still even though it was hollow. This woman turns to us and mentions that it's because of the roots. When the roots are strong, the tree is still able to grow. It reminded me a lot of us and the gospel. No matter how beaten down we feel, or how hollow we think our life is. If our roots are in the right place, in this sense the gospel, then were still able to bring forth fruit, find life, and prosper.
I'm looking forward to General Conference this weekend and I hope you all are too. I know it's a great time where we get to listen to disciples called of God . I love listening to their counsel and knowing what the Lord needs me to hear. I encourage you all that when you listen, to pay attention to what they say about the Savior and what they testify about. I love you all so much and hope you have the best week!
