You win some and you lose some

Man this week has been crazy and I've been exhausted haha. It started off with interviews and distriktrat. I was in charge of the role play we had to give and I made the decision to pair myself off with President since I wanted to be nice. Needless to say, I about peed my pants being so nervous. I stumbled over my German and I hope the scriptures I chose made sense. But it's okay, we made it out alive!  Zoko was really fun! It was 2 days long and therefore it was exhausting. We got to spend one day with the youth and the next day was with the young adults. It was fun getting to know all of them and having fun with them. We played lots of games and some of them made me feel really stupid because I can't think in German on the fly. I was really proud of myself and got the grundfarbe (primary colors) question right! It was a fun couple of days and it was so great to to hear the youth's testimonies. We have great youth in Germany! We also got to have a sleepover with the S...

Another week in the books

Guten Morgen zusammen  This week was a short one since we have interviews with President tomorrow and zoko on Friday and Saturday. But this zoko is special since we'll have all the youth and JE's (ysa) with us. It's going to be so good! One of our less active youth is coming and we're so excited! So stay tuned for a fire email next week.  This week I was able to meet 2 people from south Africa which was super cool. One was a less active family who moved here about a year and a half we go. We had no clue this family existed so we stopped by. We were a little nervous since One of the members of the relief society told us they might be from Poland and only speak polish... we were really surprised when we got there and found out they were from south Africa so English is their first language. We had a really good meeting with them. The mom is a pathologist and told us all about what she does. She doesn't go to church anymore but she stills believes in everything. They ...

Guten Abendschön!  I'll be honest not very much happened this week. Sister Schmale got sick, but don't worry it wasn't corona. But for precaution purposes we still had to cancel all of our appointments. Which was kind of sad because this was the first time we had the whole week planned before Sunday. Let's just say I'm so glad I'm not a covid missionary because I don't know how they did it. I only had to do it for a couple days and I almost went crazy, I can't even imagine having you do it for months.  But we did have a really good lesson/ meet up with one of our referrals. We got a referral from someone in Guatemala. We've been trying to meet with her from about 1 1/2 transfers and we finally were able to! She's super sweet and found the temples really interesting. She's also willing to read the book of Mormon which us so awesome! Sister Schmale is so good at talking to people and she opened her up real quick.  This week has been a bit har...

"Yo what's up fam!!" Man it feels like just yesterday when I was writing one of these. This week we had a great lesson with Camillo! Last week we met and we talked about repentance. I didn't know if our lesson really meant anything to him or if he took something out of it. This week he mentioned that he kept thinking about what we said and how he feels like he should forgive his sister and rebuild their relationship. He was trying to figure out a way to do that and include God as well. It was so cool because it lined up perfectly with what we were planning on teaching him which was scripture study and prayer. We also shared about Nephi and how he was in the same situation with his brothers but he forgave them. He was really interested in Nephi's story and agreed to read it. It was the best lesson we've ever had with him. The spirit was so involved and it was so cool to see how everything lined up perfectly. The spirit taught me a lot that day.  Camillo also ...
