Man they Mormons bruh

 "Yo what's up fam!!"

Man it feels like just yesterday when I was writing one of these. This week we had a great lesson with Camillo! Last week we met and we talked about repentance. I didn't know if our lesson really meant anything to him or if he took something out of it. This week he mentioned that he kept thinking about what we said and how he feels like he should forgive his sister and rebuild their relationship. He was trying to figure out a way to do that and include God as well. It was so cool because it lined up perfectly with what we were planning on teaching him which was scripture study and prayer. We also shared about Nephi and how he was in the same situation with his brothers but he forgave them. He was really interested in Nephi's story and agreed to read it. It was the best lesson we've ever had with him. The spirit was so involved and it was so cool to see how everything lined up perfectly. The spirit taught me a lot that day.
Camillo also made a deal with us that if we visited a museum today for pday then he would read the book of Mormon. We thought that was an easy win, so we went to a world War II museum. This one was a prison where they would put German enemies in. It was super cool but also very sad. Knowing that I'm living in a city where that stuff used to happen hits me on a different level. It makes world War II and the tragedies all the more real. Mom, I now know where we're going to be spending all of our time when we come back ;)
Another cool experience is that after a long day we were headed home and these 2 young girls who I noticed were speaking English turned to us and said to each other "Man they Mormons bruh" in a very thick Texas accent. We talked to them and 1 of them has met with the missionaries before. It was a really cool contact. We ended up running into them again the next day and we gave them our contact information. The first time we talked to them, this man standing across from me starts asking about our church. His ex girlfriend was a missionary in Spain and so he knows a lot about the church. We exchanged contact information and are excited to meet with him again.
Chelsea wanted me to include this here for the blog, but this is what my president said to me on my birthday:
Sister Nielsen,
Thank you for your letter and all that you do for the Lord. You are such an amazing missionary. One of your previous companions told me, “every sister should have the opportunity to work with Sister Nielsen.” You are the best.
It's moments like these when I remember how proud the Lord is of me and how much I've changed:)
More fun:
- did some service of weeding and then grilled
- tried Lebanese food. Yall have to try it, it's sooo good

Thank you all for the birthday wishes, you're the best!! I can't confidently say that I got spoiled, maybe more than I deserved. That's about it from me but I love you all and know that God does too.
Love, Sister Nielsen
