Süßes oder Saures 🍬🎃
Happy Halloween everyone!!
I'm pretty sure my comp is convinced that I'm a little kid because I love Halloween. I've been wanting to watch hocus pocus all week so I hope you watched it for me! Halloween in Germany is very different. It's not really celebrated at all, but the little kids do go trick or treating. I'm not sure how it all works but I know they have to ring the doorbells of apartment buildings. Then they ask for something sweet or sour. Kinda sweet but I'm glad to be back for next Halloween!
The applications are officially finished so I can start focusing on hitting the streets hard again! On a train this week, I sat next to a girl from Africa. She was super sweet and we had a really nice conversation. I absolutely love the people from Africa and I think they love whenever I tell them that it's my biggest wish to visit their country one day. But we were able to talk about God and the different Christian churches around the world. I was able to explain to her how all of the churches are similar and why they relate to one another. She lives in Wiesbaden which is in my zone and there's a church there was is said to be the idea behind the slc temple. Kinda crazy and I only see it a little bit, but I was able to connect to her through that. Anyway it was a nice conversation with so many connections. I even had a Wiesbaden card with the church address that I was able to give her! We're heading to Wiesbaden tomorrow so maybe I'll be able to see her again and I'll take a picture of the church down there so yall can see.
Asier and Iker are both progressing really well. We're getting everything planned for Asier's baptism and getting him excited. We read in the book of Mormon with him every night and he's noticed how my reading has improved. He told me that I now read faster, pronounce better, and am more confident;) Yina is still looking for an apartment and is still keeping her faith and hope alive. We know it might take a while but we've explained that she can be a dry member until she gets baptized. That made her feel a lot better haha.
I'm really enjoying my district this transfer! It's probably the best district I've had on the mission
Life on the mission is great and I love every second of it. I've been studying the spirit lately and how powerful he is. We can do anything with the spirit and when we truly rely on him is when the miracles come. A senior missionary mentioned to me the reason why callings in the church are fairly short because we are released when we start being comfortable. After 5 years, a bishop understands how to counsel others and lead a tithing settlement. He starts relying less on the spirit which is when he is released. The lord puts us into positions where we have no idea what we're doing so that we can rely on the spirit and trust him. Then when we've learned and become comfortable is when we are released. The same goes for the mission. After 18 months or 2 years we start getting comfortable with the language and how to be a missionary and then we're sent home. This is why greenies have fire about them because they are always relying solely on the spirit. This week I'm trying to focus more on relying on the spirit and the miracles that it will bring. I invite you all to do it too!
Love you all! Good luck at State Car!!

So sorry to everyone in my past districts that are on this email list. An elder in my current district thought it would be funny and added a few lines to this and I forgot to edit them out before I sent it! So don't worry our past districts were amazing and i love them all;)
