The candy Sister
Moin moin!
This week we started out with another Straße ausstellung. I'll be honest I wasn't too excited for it. Last time Was freezing and we didn't really have very much success. But this time we had more members there and the weather was a lot better. One thing I've learned is that when the weather is nice, Germans are a lot nicer. So it was a good day, we had a lot of good talks with people and even gave out a few Books of Mormon. Towards the end, I noticed this family. The little kids would point to our stand because we had candy. The mother told them that they couldn't come over to the stand because they're muslim and don't believe in Jesus Christ. I saw this encounter and went over and asked if the kids wanted candy. The 2 kids eagerly nodded their heads yes. I brought the candy bowl over to them and let them pick two. Their mother Was really appreciative. I learned that day how important it is to serve others the way Christ served them.
This week we've also been trying to meet with as many members as we can. Since it's Sister wallgrens last week we've been trying to grind it out. We're talking to tons of people everyday and just fully living the life of a missionary. We've had some really good conversations with people on the street. We met this lady who has a super strong testimony over Christ. She told us her while life Story and how she's seen both sides with and without a belief in God. When she bore her testimony it brought tears to my eyes. I know that Christ is there for all of us and that he Supports us in all that we do. I thought she would be so willing to learn more about Christ and be excited to have another book that speaks of him. But once we started talking about the book of Mormon she shut us down and said that we only need Christ and can't rely on a Book that's not written by him. I don't understand how people who believe in Christ can still have such a hard heart. I'm hoping that her heart will be softened because she would be a great addition to the ward. On the bright side I can tell my German is improving because I understood just about everything in the 45 minute talk with her.
That's pretty much it for this week. Just trying to grind and make the most of this last week in the transfer. I hope you have a great week and enjoy the spring time weather. Also if you ever get the chance to have Kiwi ice cream, I 15/10 recommend it! It's the best ice cream I've ever had and also the most expensive. Love you all!!
