We perished

For Easter, both Sister Olsen and I spoke in sacrament meeting. We were pretty nervous because there was a a lot of faces that we didn't recognize. Our friend David who we're teaching also came. But it went well. A member came up to me after and asked if I was nervous, I guess my voice was shaking a bit hahah. David said he really liked our sacrament meeting and he said he just felt good. He's coming again this Sunday and I hope we can set up an actual lesson so we can talk about what he felt and what it meant.

That night we had dinner with Bernd, our eternegator. He's been investigating the church for 5 years. Our plan going in was to set expectations with him and reinforce our purpose as missionaries because usually when we meet with him we usually have dinner for about 4 hours and then a short lesson about baptism. He's a super good cook and always makes the best food. We always go home stuffed and unable to eat for a week. But we wanted to make our point clear as to why we meet with him and what our expectations are for him. The elders were also there and we actually had a really spiritual lesson with him. We talked a bit about faith and trust. I asked him if he needs this church and why and it made him stop and think for a second. He said yes and it opened the gate to being able to answer all of his concerns. It was a really cool experience. My goal for this week has been to follow the spirit during lessons and say what the spirit needs me to say. I think I was able to accomplish that through my inspired question.
Another way I followed those spiritual promptings Was yesterday, we met with our friend Napo. We didn't have a great lesson with him last time so we wanted to re-go-over the plan of salvation and also set expectations. He's really nice and likes meeting with us but we wanted our expectations for him and our purpose to be clear. I was pretty nervous going into it because I didn't know how he was going to react. But the lesson went really smoothöy and he remembered a lot of what we taught him last time which was great. He actually understands and believes what we are teaching. We asked him halfway through the plan of  salvation and if he believes this is true or if he wants this plan to be true for him. He said he did which we were super excited about. He also said he would join and change if he found out our religion was true. We were so stoked and so happy that we didn't have to stop teaching him and that he wants to progress.
I've found that there's no greater happiness on the mission then seeing someone progress closer to Jesus Christ. I'm so thankful I was receptive to the spirit and was able to say what was needed and ask the right questions to find out what his expectations were. After that we had to hurry to catch our train to our next appointment which left in 8 minutes. On the ubahn to get to our train we had a really cool experience with this lady who spoke English! We explained that we were volunteers for our church and he asked what Was the difference between our church and all the others. I was super stoked that she was interested. Sadly we had to get on the train but we gave her our number and told us to text us and we would be glad to answer her question. I really hope she does. After running through the Bahnhof and having to buy a Ticket, we made it to our train just in time! God really is real and he Provides a way so that we can accomplish his work!!
This is the last week of the transfer and I really don't want to leave Nürnberg and Sister Olsen. I feel like there's a 50-50 chance. But there's still so much I want to do here. We find out on Saturday if I stay! But we've been jam packed this week with appointments which has been really good. I've been exhausted though from running from place to place. But alas that is the life of the mission After all.
We had a great last districtrat as well. The spirit was so strong and I learned so much. Our ZL spoke about our mission call and conversion. It was just a reminder why the lord called me and what expectations I can make with the lord that I want to accomplish during my mission. We are also having Elder Uchtdorf tomorrow and I'm so excited!! We also went to a carnival today that's going on in Nürnberg and it was so fun!! It felt like I was back in the US. The also hot to go on a ride that goes high into the air and which you back and forth. It was so fun and completely exhilarating!! Never thought I would be able to do that as a missionary.
Sorry this one is long, but this week was just too good not to share. Have a great week!!
