There's a bird in the house !!

 Alles Gute zum Vatertag!!

Happy Father's day to all the dads out there! Yesterday was a holiday in Germany called ascension day. They celebrate Christ returning back to his father exactly 40 days after his resurrection. Over the years it's also turned into Father's day. But how they celebrate it in Germany is really weird. All the men will get together and push strollers around town, but instead of having a child they push around their beer. Typical Germany for you haha.
This week we had zone conference in Dortmund!! It was really fun being surrounded by tons of missionaries + being served AMAZING FOOD. I've been blessed to serve with incredible missionaries and they've all become great friends. We talked a lot about comparison and pride. Sadly there's a lot of comparison that happens on the mission because we want to have the same success as those around us. But comparison is the robber of joy. We are all a team and everyone's efforts are needed. Sometimes we're seed planters, grabble pickers, or reapers. This week felt like a lot of grabbed picking. But I know that those efforts are needed so that they will be ready for the next people.
Today we taught Stephan, last week was our first lesson. He had read the first 14 chapters in the BoM and came with questions! It was so cool to see how eager he was to read. We went in with the intention that he would've only read the introduction, but he blew us away with all his reading. He's super cool and is very interested and open. It's been so fun to teach him and answer his questions. The elders are also teaching someone golden. Her name is Maggie and doesn't have the use of her legs, but has taught herself to walk. She's incredible and is purely sunshine. She contacted the elders when she ran into anti and wanted to know for herself what our church was all about. She wants to be baptized as soon as she finishes the book of Mormon.
The gift of tongues is real!! I am truly grateful for it because I'm positive it's the only reason why I can speak German. We met with a couple from Iran, who's 3rd language is German. We talked to them and got to know them. We discussed our beliefs and how they left Iran to find religious freedom. It was a super good experience and the coolest part is that it was all in German. I understood pretty much everything they were saying but if you asked me to translate exactly what each word meant I couldn't tell you. I've noticed that a lot I just know what people are talking about even if I don't know the words that they use.
Highlights from the week: a bird flew into our apartment which was kinda nuts. We have to leave the doors open because we don't have windows and don't want our apartment to mold. I found out that i found the Bonn Sister a new friend when we were on austauch with them this weekend. I saw him on the Bahn and was only able to say 1 thing to him before he got off but he contacted the sisters, they've met with him, and he's interested! God's preparing people!
Love you all!!
