I'm sorry I don't have a ton of time but this is what I've done and learned from this week :)
We've been really focusing on Karim. His baptism is in a week and we're just trying to crank out the remaining lessons and also make sure that he understands. He's where most of our thoughts and energy has gone this week. He shared his testimony with us that he knows God is with him and that knows the book of Mormon is true. As sisters it's always a little nerve wracking to teach a guy because you want to make sure that they're interested in the church and not you. With Karim's testimony and his deep desire to be baptized I'm pretty positive he's in it for the right reasons. He also has been telling everyone he can about the gospel so I think that's a plus :)
We had 3 friends at church this past Sunday which was amazing. Henry came who is someone we've been teaching. He's amazing and is really intrigued about the gospel. The hard part is that he's super busy and we can't teach him very frequently, but he came to church and dressed up like he was going to prom. It was awesome to see how excited he was. Jorge was also there who is pretty much in the same situation as Henry. I'm hoping that they will start coming to church more frequently.
Lately I've been studying the missionary chapters in the book of Mormon as well as the Riciarrdi letter (I might have killed that spelling). But it's about a missionary and his mission. They're both amazing and have truly changed my outlook on missionary work. If anyone wants to read the Letter I highly recommend it! I can send to you and give it a 12/10!
We went to a monkey and bird park today for pday.... the main reason I don't have very much time to write this. But it was so fun to see all the birds and baby animals. The monkeys were my favorite. I found it really interesting that the mother monkeys would group up together with their little babies when us passerbys would get too close or too grouped. They protected each other and new that they were stronger in groups. That's the same with us! We are stronger when we're together. We need to remember that we aren't in this fight with Satan alone and that we can always find strength through each other.
I hope you all have a great week. Love you all!!
Love Sister Nielsen
