1 year in Germany!!

I can't believe I have been in Germany for a whole year! I have absolutely loved my time here and I have learned so much. Germany is the best and the people are so kind under their hard outer covering.

This week has been absolutely wild. We started it off with a SAP tausch in Frankfurt. We were busy running around with 3 appointments, but I learned a lot about applying the Book of Mormon and the gospel to each individual person. It is so funny how people are so different, Sister Ferguson gave me the rundown of surfing and I told her all I knew about hunting. We ended the tausch teaching a family from Ghana which I absolutely loved. There is just something special about the African people. They melt my heart every time and they had the cutest kids.
On Sunday we were completely booked. Both wards want us to join their choirs since Sister Cooley has such a beautiful voice haha. Then we were helping stuff tiny cherry tomatoes with cucumbers and cream cheese  for a JAE devotional. If you do the math you can see how difficult it was, but somehow we were still able to make them look edible and presentable. Then we were running over to give 11 year olds a tour of the temple and give testimony about missionary work. Plus a member appointment where he had to read with Asier and join Gemiko since it went too long. Good thing the 2 we were with were RM's and super chill.
We had a fun tausch with the Wetzlar Sisters and I got to go with Sister Sagers! She's super cute and reminds me a lot of how I was at the beginning of my mission. We were able to relate about being quiet and maybe not as outgoing as other sisters. I was able to share with her my experience about being called to be me and not worrying about having to be someone else. I think we get caught up a lot trying to be someone else, but the Lord called us for who we are and the different personalities that we have. But we had a ton of fun together and made cookies to take to the members. It's a bit of a shame that we only have a toaster oven and it ended up burning our cookies...
We are so excited about Asier's taufe this Saturday!! Please pray that everything goes well! He's amazing and I'm so excited for him to get baptized and start this new life in Christ. Thank you all for your support. I love you all so much and I'm living my best life here in Germany!
