Christmas time in the City!

There's not a whole lot to report on from this week. Tbh this week has been pretty overwhelming and has hit me like a train. The winter time is here which means that there's no sun. A member in Köln would always call me a desert flower. So I think it's safe to say that I need the sun! Going without the sun also leads to unpleasant symptoms. I've noticed that I have less energy, I'm tired all the time, and everything just seems heavier. I will be really glad to come back to Nevada where the sun never leaves, but until then I'll be sure to take my vitamin D, listen to Christmas music, eat chocolate, and get lots of hugs!

Although, it was a rough weak and just a lot. I learned a lot about the Savior's grace and Atonement. He already paid the price for my mistakes or my slow days. He knew I would mess up and this time would be hard for me, which is why he allows it to happen. There's no growth if I'm not forced beyond my limits and there's no reason to trust him if everything was going smoothly. God gives us our trials so that we can turn to him and feel of his love. His grace is also right there to lift us up when we fall And to brush the dirt off of our skinned knees. I have felt more of my savior's love when I go through a hard time and when I have to find comfort when everything else is broken. He is always there and he just wants us to turn to him. So that's what I invite you all to do when you go through a hard time.
A sweet experience for me was going on austauch with sister Wilhelm. She's amazing and I always learn so much from her and her example. We had dinner with a member from ghana. I met her before and it was a surprise for both of us when I showed up. She told us all about Ghanaian/ African culture, showed us the cutest videos of her kids, and made us amazing Ghanian food. I was in heaven and thought the night couldn't get any better. A friend of hers showed up just in time to finish eating with us and hear the spiritual thought. We chose one about hope and how through christ we can overcome everything. We had a great discussion with the friend and sister Wilhelm invited her to learn more! I'm telling you she's amazing and the leadership roles should be switched. It was such a special night and I love the African people and culture so much.
P.s. tell Sharon and Brian that they need to soak it all up for me!
That pretty much explains the week! The gaps were filled in with lots of meetings, temple, Christmas markets, talking to people, singing in the choir, and studying about Christ:) I love you all so much and hope you have a great week!
