Euskirchen? Training?
Moin!
Transfers happened this week and I was sent back up north to Euskirchen. It's a tiny town with even smaller villages surrounding it. It's near Bonn and Köln. Honestly when I heard that I was going to be so close to Köln again I got nervous and all of the PTSD came back haha. But it's alright, we learned and grew in that area. It's a driving area and I'm so glad that I'm not allowed to drive here because I don't think I would be coming home haha. Also instead of tiwi always telling us to check our speed, she would tell me to speed up. I'm ending sister Werner's training. I'm excited to train again, but I'm nervous I forgot how haha. Good thing sister Werner is already a profi and will be retraining me this transfer haha. Its fun to see how much I've learned and grown over the past 6 months since the last time that I trained. My German skills are definitely better than back then and that will be my focus this transfer.
They just opened up Euskirchen as it's own area. Which means that there's a lot of work to do here. These next 2 transfers are going to be a grind but I'm excited for all the miracles that we're going to see here. I'm about to leave in all on Euskirchen.
Saying goodbye to Friedrichsdorf and all of the people there was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. My heart just broke during my last sacrament meeting with all of them. I never could've thought I could love so many people and how many of them have changed me. They will forever be family and I can't wait to come back and visit.
While I've been here we've had a lesson with a 60 year old couple who's son and daughter in law just got baptized. They are really interested in the book of Mormon and are the sweetest people ever. The husband has read quite a bit about the book of Mormon but had a hard time reading about Nephi killing Laban. So I've been studying a lot about that recently and why it's necessary. It's interesting that Laban had to die so that we would all be delivered. The nations that they talk about who won't perish in unbelief are us. We are the living prophecy.
That's about all for this week, but I'm excited for what's to come. It's time I dig deep and work hard. I love you all! Have a great week!
