Blissful days

Oh meine gute, so much has happened since I last sent an email! Aaron got baptized which was super exciting! We cranked out all of the lessons in a manner of 2 appointments. It was insane, but we did it. He is such a cute boy and it so smart. At first we tried to teach him and he would say that he already knew the things we were telling him. So after that we had him teach us and oh man is this kid smart. He knows so much about the gospel and his baptism was so special.
Yina and iker from friedrichsdorf also got baptized and I was able to watch the baptism over zoom. Asier got to baptize them and it was just so special. Yina has been waiting since October to be baptized and I'm so glad it worked out. She hasn't moved out yet, but one of my mission president's counselors met with her and found her to be worthy. President and his counselor both had the feeling that she was ready to be baptized even though the living situation hadn't changed. I'm so glad that they're all together as a family in the church now ❤
We had a district finding activity and I went with the adorable sister Cook. We talked with this one man who's name is Alen. He's from Iran, but moved to Ukraine just before the war, and had to feel to Germany. He's seen a lot of hard things and because of that he kind of gave up on life. We met with him and the Persian elders and told him a little bit about God's plan for him. As well as why bad things happen, but how we can overcome them. We gave him a book of Mormon and explained some more about it. He told us that he looked up the church and everything he read went so well with his own thoughts. The miracle of the whole thing is that 2 days before we met him, he had a feeling that he needed to go to a church. Then the day we met him, he got the same, strange feeling that he needed to go outside. He's usually a homebody and had no idea why he had to go outside. He did and that's when we met him. God is preparing people everywhere. It's insane to me how much of the picture God sees. He knew that we would meet him 2 days in advance and he put him in our path. God is good and this is HIS work.
We were able to go to the temple today with our branch. A recent convert was supposed to go with us and was so excited to go. But sadly it didn't work and he stayed home. We went along and did baptisms. I haven't done baptisms in so long and I about forgot how to do them. It felt so good to be back in friedrichsdorf and see so many familiar faces.
Transfers were this week and I had to say goodbye to one of my best friends on the mission. We got along so well and had so much fun together. She's going to do great things in wetzlar. My new comp is Sister downing, which in fact is my granddaughter on the mission. Which is kinda crazy, but it's been fun. Last transfer was a little rough with her companion and so I was asked to love her and help her be able to deal with her future companions and relationships. It is quite the responsibility, but president and his wife thought I would be perfect because I love everyone and will be going into psychology.
It doesn't feel real that I'm in my last transfer of the mission. It breaks my heart to think that I will be leaving my home in a few weeks. I have made amazing friends here that I will cherish forever. The German language has actually become something that I love. I love this work and for the opportunities I have to wear Christ's name everyday. This gospel has blessed me in so many ways and I am beyond grateful for it. I love you all and hope you have a great week!!
